Not Just In NY…

Shared Office Space for Creative Business Folks
Doylestown, PA (March 28, 2008)– The number of community/collaboration spaces for developers, writers and independents is a growing trend in the last couple years. Doylestown’s First Friday in April is no exception with another group opening its doors in the heart of Bucks County. Shared office space or co-working makes good business sense for people who love working for themselves while desiring the creative and social interaction of working with others. Maintaining a commercial presence in the community right on Main Street is no small feat. Yet the rising costs of leased office space, utilities and marketing expenses can be managed cost effectively with a “Creative Coalition” of dedicated business owners.

Don’t think it’s just these resourceful entrepreneurs that get prime pickings. Consumers have the luxury to taste from a smorgasbord of talent under one roof. Some member services include state of the art marketing, web development, photography, publishing and design services… No one says you have to hire all of them but you can have the piece of mind they’ll exchange ideas and work together to create better products and services then if you hired them individually.

What are the perks for belonging to such a business organization? The main feature is working in a creative, upbeat environment with professional appeal of people who love coming to work for themselves. 72 North Main Street in Doylestown has that inviting look of a city loft with plenty of light, hard wood floors, a round table for community desk space to use laptops and there is even a conference room that overlooks the courthouse. Creative Coalition also offers plenty of benefits for artists who want affordable, well lit wall space. And there are summer internship opportunities for programmers wanting to cut their teeth. Here’s the rub. Full members get a dedicated desk. Other resources for Full and Associate members include a mail slot, printer, fax, and wireless Internet and the fringe benefits of having your business recognized on the association website, printed materials and company names on place cards near the entrance. Other levels of membership include Basic, Student and Mentor. Visit: http://www.thecreativecoalition.net/.
